Trescal, the international specialist for calibration services, has strengthened its market leading position in the United Kingdom with the acquisition of Antech Engineering Limited.
Antech Calibration Services and MD Calibration Services are now part of the Trescal Group.
Antech are proud to become an official distributor for the sale of all Druck (GE) test equipment. Should you wish to purchase any Druck (GE) test equipment or spares please advise us of a model number and any specific accessory modules. We will then be able to provide a quote for both the purchase price and calibration cost.
Antech Calibration Services is delighted to announce the addition of Infrared Radiation Thermometer's to our UKAS calibration portfolio. Antech is able to offer UKAS accredited calibration within the following ranges:
-15?c to 120?c with an uncertainty of 1.5?c
120?c to 500?c with an uncertainty of 3?c
Antech is delighted to announce the addition of a UKAS accredited Water Rig to our calibration portfolio.
Antech is able to offer UKAS accredited calibration of equipment such as Coriolis, Turbine, Positive Displacement and Ultrasonic Flowmeters and now also Electromagnetic Flowmeters.
Calibration can be undertaken over a Mass flow range of 4 to 400 kg/min and over a Volumetric range of 4 to 400 L/min. In both cases the uncertainty is 0.2%.

Antech is delighted to announce the addition of Gas Detection to our calibration portfolio.
Antech is now able to offer calibration of gas detection equipment such as Portable Gas Detectors, Portable Gas Analysers and Purge Monitors from manufacturers like Crowcon, GMI, Draeger, Industrial Scientific and BW Technologies.
Calibration can be undertaken using a variety of gases such as Oxygen (O2), Flammable Gases (Methane CH4 & Pentane C5H12), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Chlorine (CL2), Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6), Nitric Oxide (NO).

Antech Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Antech Calibration Services is celebrating twenty years of service to industry providing UKAS and traceable calibration of customer's test and measurement equipment to support their internal quality procedures. Based in Great Yarmouth, with a regional office in Kettering, Antech was formed in 1988 and currently employs thirty-seven people.
Antech provides calibration and repair services to companies throughout the United Kingdom and overseas, with its main customers in the offshore oil and gas production, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, electrical supply and water utilities and manufacturing industries. Antech has the UK contract for National Grid for the calibration and repair of all its test and measurement equipment. This contract includes the control of the customer's test & measurement assets, detailing when calibrated, recalling equipment for calibration, collection and delivery to numerous sites throughout the UK.
From very early on the importance of service quality was recognised and Antech achieved its first Quality System Accreditation in 1991 (ISO 9001:2000) when they moved to a purpose built calibration facility in Great Yarmouth. Accreditation by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) followed in 1995 for pressure and electrical calibration. These industry recognised accreditations, along with a highly trained and motivated team of engineers and support staff, has placed Antech at the forefront of their field.
A major additional attraction to customers is Antech's computerised work management system (CWMS), which allows customers to track their instruments at Antech in real-time, manage their entire instrumentation inventory online and download electronic certification. Developed in-house, in conjunction with the University of East Anglia, this cutting edge system not only provides customers with much greater transparency during the calibration process, but has also lead to marked increases in internal efficiency and customer satisfaction. Antech's calibration software takes the burden of asset management away from its clients and replaces it with a set of online automated management and reporting tools, which can be readily adapted to the client's requirements.
Antech is committed to continued investment in research and development to enhance their existing IT systems and to streamline the business and provide higher levels of service to customers. Such is Antech's growing expertise in this field that they are now in negotiations with other calibration and engineering organisations about them procuring Antech's software to help develop and manage their own businesses. Antech is proud to be taking an industry lead in the development of these systems and is excited about it's range of upcoming projects.
Continuous investment in developing additional calibration parameters has enabled Antech to provide UKAS calibration for temperature, air velocity, gas density, dimensional metrology, torque, hydrocarbon flow and relative humidity, with new parameters being considered. This investment will ensure that Antech, with the ongoing loyalty and commitment of our staff, can continue to offer a complete service, meeting the increasing demands of our customers and keeping Antech at the forefront of technology in the Norfolk area.
Antech Calibration Services is delighted to add UKAS accreditation for dew point and relative humidity to our UKAS schedule.
The parameters we can offer in the relative humidity field are in the range 10% rh – 95% rh with an uncertainty of +/- 1.6% of the reading for the temperature range 10?C to 60?C.
The parameters we can offer for dew point are in the range −20?C to 60?C dp with an uncertainty of +/- 0.2?C dp or −70?C to −20?C dp with an uncertainty of +/- 0.3?C dp.
Antech Calibration Services is delighted to welcome Peter Dand, formerly of Beamex (UK) to their field sales team. Peter has a wealth of experience in the calibration field and has been in sales since 1968. Peter joined Beamex in 1994 to develop and run the UK business and was responsible for establishing the company as a major force in the UK and Irish markets, particularly in the pharmaceutical, power and offshore segments.
Antech is pleased that Peter has chosen to join our field sales team and look forward to drawing on his years of experience in the instrumentation calibration field.
Antech gains UKAS accreditation for liquid flow
After acquiring new premises to house our recently purchased liquid flow rig and following a UKAS audit. Antech Calibration Services can now offer UKAS accredited calibration in the liquid flow field. The parameters we are able to offer include liquid flow in the range 25 ? 2500 litres per minute with an uncertainty of +/- 0.1% and mass flow with a range of 20 ? 2000 kilograms per minute with an uncertainty of +/- 0.075%. A range of oils is also available as standard, covering the range 2 to 200 cSt. The fluid temperature can be controlled from 25 to 80 degrees centigrade. Antech is thrilled to add liquid flow to our portfolio of calibration fields and already extensive UKAS schedule.
Following the completion of our new purpose built temperature and humidity laboratory and a UKAS audit. Antech Calibration Services can now offer UKAS accredited calibration for saturated salts and air temperature.
The parameters we can offer in the air temperature field are in the range −20?C to 100?C with an uncertainty of +/- 0.5?C. Our saturated salts capability is 10% rh to 98% rh with an uncertainty of 2%.
